[BHS Etree] INCOMING FAMILIES: Updated Info for New to BUSD incoming 9th graders

1. The BUSD  Admissions Office at 2020 Bonar Street has added an additional
enrollment day for new to BUSD families whose children are planning to
attend BHS in the fall of 2013.  Parents of children currently enrolled at
King, Longfellow, or Willard do NOT have to enroll their children in the
district as they are already enrolled.  Enrollment will now take place from
Tuesday Feb. 19 through Monday, Feb. 25 from 8 a.m. to noon and from 12:45
to 3 p.m.

2.  Families must first pre enroll online. To do so, go to
http://berkeley.enrollments.us/StudentAdmissions.aspx

3.  If you are unable to come during the scheduled enrollment days and are
sending a proxy, please send them with a signed permission letter and only
original pieces of information.  If you pay your bills online, a printout
of your bill is sufficient if the parent comes in person,  HOWEVER, proxies
must bring actual copies of the bills which can be obtained from the
various utilities themselves.

3. Registration packets must be turned in at the time you enroll your
student at 2020 Bonar Street.  This packet takes approximately 45 minutes
to fill.  If you wish to fill it before arriving at registration, the
packets may be picked up at the Berkeley High Front Desk or from the
Admissions Office at 2020 Bonar Street.

4. Reminder to all Incoming 9th Grade Families: The Berkeley High
Information Night 2013 for all incoming families will be on Wednesday,
February 13, 2013, from 7-9 p.m. in the community theater on the Berkeley
High School campus. During Information Night, representatives from
departments and our learning communities will make presentations and be
available to answer questions. The evening will start promptly and parking
can be challenging. Please plan accordingly.pies.
