*New to the bulletin today

 

ADMINISTRATION

 

1.  The Yearbook is on sale now for $70. On December 21st it will go up to
$85.  Buy now after school on the Senior Steps or at
yearbookordercenter.com.  The yearbook will sell out.  This is the cheapest
it will ever be!

 

2.  Attention Girls!! Are you interested in technology? Would you like to
learn about technology and business while solving a problem in your
community? If so, please see Ms. James in the Attendance Office by Friday
for information on Technovation Challenge. Would you like a chance for your
team to win $10,000 for development of your teams app? Come join and have
fun doing what you like to do.

 

CLUBS

 

1.  Looking for a satisfying lunch filled with awesome deliciousness?!  Come
to the Homeless Support club's first ever grilled cheese sale - Thursday,
December 20th at lunch in the C-building Gallery!  There will also be drinks
and baked goods.  Full grilled cheeses sandwiches for just $3.00 each!

 

2.  The BSU will be hosting a Kwanzaa dinner on December 21st during 4th
period.  If you would like to bring food, there will be sign-up sheets in
Mr. Omwamba's room, Ms. Mitchell's room and Mama Washington's dance room.
If you would like to come but can't bring food, you will have to pay $2 for
food.

 

3.  Are you interested in writing, photography, poetry, or Art? Then join
the Teen Center's newspaper! It's a lot of fun and it looks great on
applications of all kinds. For more information, visit the Teen Center
located across from the park on the corner of MLK Jr Way and Addison Street.

4. CSF meeting #3 is Friday, December 21st at lunch in the College Career
Center!  We're finalizing our fundraising events to make sure you're there!

 

 

SPORTS

 

1.  To all new and returning Swim team and diving team members:  There will
be a short meeting at lunchtime on Wednesday, December 19th at the Jacket
Pool.  Anyone interested in swimming or diving next semester should plan to
attend.

 

2.  Thursday, December 20 Boys Basketball vs. McClymonds at McClymonds High,
Oakland  

JV: 5:30 pm

Varsity: 7:00pm   

 

Friday, December 21 Girls Soccer vs. Bishop O'Dowd at home

JV: 4:00 pm

Varsity: 6:00 pm

 

Friday, December 21 Boys Soccer vs. Bishop O'Dowd at Bishop O'Dowd, Oakland

EVENTS / PERFORMANCES

 

1. Dance: Want to see what B-high is made of? Then come to the
African/Haitian Dance performance to celebrate the many faces of African,
Haitian, Modern, Fusion, young gifted and black, hip hop, Aztec, Persian and
Ethiopian dance; as well as spoken word and our BHS Jazz band. The world
will be brought to you on December 20, 2012 at 7pm in the Community Theater.

 

2.  Come support The Jacket newspaper fundraiser! It is pricey to cover the
printing expenses of The Jacket and we need your help! We will be selling a
delectable array of scrumptious goodies on Fourth Street on Saturday,
December 22 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Our bake sale booth will be
located near the plaza where Manhattan Bagel and Papyrus is.

 

*3.  God, Sex, Body Image, Bullying all in an average day at St. Dympha's
Catholic School:  Come see "Re-Drowning Ophelia," the fall play opening 7pm
Thursday in the Little Theater -- also plays Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and
2 pm on Saturday.
