ADMINISTRATION
1. Hello Berkeley High! Did you know that 1 in 6 people in Alameda County
use the food bank and that 42% of those people are children? BHS Leadership
is getting ready to put on this year's Annual Holiday Meal on December 15th
and they need your help. On Thursday, November 15th a canned food drive
will begin and will continue until December 14th. You can drop off your
items in the C Building gallery, the 1st floor of G/H building or the front
office. We are trying to reach a school wide goal of 10,000 items, so bring
at least three items per student! We thank you. Leadership.
2. The theme of World AIDS Day 2012 is "Getting to Zero: Zero new HIV
infections, zero discrimination, zero AIDS-related deaths." Take a moment
to think about what it would be like to live in a world where no one got
HIV, everyone living with HIV/AIDS got the care they needed, and no one was
disrespected based on their HIV status. Berkeley High School will be
commemorating World AIDS Day on Friday, November 30th in the Gallery of the
Community Theatre during periods 4-6. There will be educational games and
prizes, diverse community organizations, and opportunities to learn about
and reflect on the global impact of HIV/AIDS. If you are sexually active,
it is important to get tested regularly for HIV and STIs. The Berkeley High
Health Center offers free and confidential HIV and STI testing. Stop by the
Health Center in H105 to make an appointment!
CLUBS
*1. Attention! CSF meeting #2 is today, Tuesday in the College Career
Center at lunch! Remember, you must attend at least 3 of these to achieve
official CSF membership for the fall semester. See you there!
2. Hey everybody, come buy Thai Ice tea and Spam Musubi from APIC, November
27th at lunchtime in the C- gallery. All proceeds go to the victims of
Hurricane Sandy.
LEADERSHIP
1. Please help those people affected by the hurricane in New York and New
Jersey areas. Bring warm clothing, batteries, blankets and candles to the
bins outside of the leadership office. All week we will collect these items
to be sent over to the communities in need. Thank you Berkeley for your
support.
2. The Holiday meal is coming up! Come out to the Senior steps at lunch to
sign up to volunteer and learn more. Leadership will be there on Tuesday,
November 27th, Wednesday, November 28th and Thursday, November 29th.
*3. Leadership students will be coming around during 4th period on Thursday,
Nov.29th to collect any money donations you have to offer and will be
dropping off a brown paper bag in each classroom where you can drop off any
items for the canned food drive. They would really appreciate any
contributions you can offer. Thanks.
SENIORS
1. Senior Portraits - Wednesday, November 28th at 3:00 - 7:00 pm
All portraits will take place in the east gallery of the Theater. These
pictures are by Appointment ONLY.

go to the senior prom.
SPORTS
A big congratulations to all of the student-athletes that participated in
the Fall season. While we are getting ready for the Winter sports season
