TESTING DEADLINE REMINDER: The December test dates are the last ones
accepted by the UC's and most CSU's for admission in the fall of 2013.
While most CSU's will accept the December test scores, a few of them will
not. If you have not yet done so, please check with your college advisor to
discuss your list of colleges and find out the potential deadlines for
testing. UC's will continue to accept the December test scores. While UC's
no longer require SAT Subject Test scores from applicants, some programs
"recommend" that you take them (e.g. engineering). Some other colleges
continue to require Subject Tests (check the admission requirements of the
colleges you are applying to).

New SAT and ACT registration procedures - photos required during
registration! To produce an honest and fair test-taking environment for all
students and prevent test-taker impersonation, starting this fall the
College Board (for SAT tests) and the ACT testing agency (for the ACT) will
require enhanced security measures for all students taking the college
entrance tests. Students will be required to submit a current, recognizable
head-and-shoulders photo that will be printed on the new photo admission
ticket. For more information, please visit www.collegeboard.org or
www.act.org.

ACT (Register at www.ACT.org) Check website for complete listing of test
dates.

SAT (Register at www.collegeboard.org) Check website for complete listing of
test dates.

SAT and ACT Prep Courses at BHS: We have recently opened up additional
seats in our M/W (3:30-5:30pm) ACT prep course, and our T/TH (3:30-5:30pm)
SAT prep courses offered at BHS. These courses are FREE. To join either of
these classes, please see Ms. Price or Mr. Barton as soon as possible.
Classes are currently in session.

*SENDING TEST SCORES TO CSU CAMPUSES:

SAT - Once you have taken the SAT test, you should list the CSUMentor
institution code, so that CSUMentor can store your scores for any CSU campus
to retrieve. The CSUMentor institution code for the SAT is 3594.

ACT - If you have listed a CSU campus as an ACT score report recipient, you
can use the ACT Scores Manager to release your score to additional campuses.
Before you can use the ACT Scores Manager, you must first have arranged for
your scores to be sent to a CSU campus. If you have not yet arranged for
your ACT scores to be sent to a CSU campus, you can learn how to request
this at www.actstudent.org/scores/send/index.html.
