[BHS Etree] CLUBS: Speech and Debate Club Tournament

While Speech & Debate is a part of the elective curriculum at some schools,
at BHS it an extra curricular activity in a club started by students this
school year. 

 

Mr. Keldon Clegg, one of the English teachers at BHS, has been a volunteer
coach for the Speech & Debate club, helping students participate in
tournaments and improving their skills. 

 

The BHS Speech & Debate club is a member of the National Forensic League and
has participated in two tournaments in the current school year.  On May 12,
2012, five of the students participated in the Golden Gate Speech
Association Novice/Junior Varsity Tournament. Three of the five were
finalists in the Speech category, including Molly Isen and Nadav Friedman
Grunstein, and Alborz Yazdi won the 2nd prize.
