 GRADUATION REHEARSALS

Theatre and at 9:00 am on Friday, June 15 at the Greek Theatre. All seniors
who plan to participate in the graduation MUST be present at BOTH
rehearsals.

GRADUATION TICKETS

1.	Number of tickets needed: Each graduate will be given two bowl
seating tickets that can be picked up in the Student Body Accounts Office in
D173 beginning May 29. Students can then purchase up to five additional
tickets. If more tickets are desired, the student must wait until the final
week to see if any other students have given up their tickets because they
do not need up to seven. We cannot guarantee large numbers of tickets, or
seating all in the same area.
2.	Surrendering unneeded tickets: Graduates who will need less than
seven tickets are encouraged to report to the Student Body Accounts Office
the number of tickets they will need. This will help us to know how many
extra tickets we can make available to families seeking more than seven.
3.	Types and Pricing: Tickets are only sold to graduating students and
their families. There are three types of tickets sold for graduation: Bowl
seating, lawn seating, and disabled seating. Students are able to purchase
up to five additional tickets, and possibly more if needed during the final
week. Ticket prices are TBD but will be announced mid-May at the latest.

4. Disabled Seating: Only one person may accompany each disabled guest in
the disabled seating area. When purchasing the buyer should indicate if the
person will use a wheelchair. Any disabled attendees and their caretakers
should enter from the south side of the Greek Theater. There is a drop-off
area close to an entrance in the parking lot on the south side.

 GRADUATION DAY

1.	On Friday, June 15, seniors will report promptly to the Greek
Theatre at 4:00 pm to line up for graduation. There will be considerable
traffic congestion just before graduation, so it is recommended that
students allow themselves an extra margin of time.
2.	Caps and gowns must be worn at graduation.
3.	Shuttle buses to the Greek Theatre will be available from Berkeley
High School's Milvia Street entrance beginning at 3:00pm on Friday, June 15
for graduates and spectators. Buses will return to Berkeley High School
following the graduation ceremony.
4.	Parking: There are no designated parking areas for students or
families at the Greek Theater, even for disabled unfortunately. There will
be shuttle buses that can accommodate the disabled.
5.	Gifts and flowers should not be given to students prior to the
ceremony due to lack of security.
6.	Any student who engages in disruptive behavior during the ceremony,
inflatable balls, cell phone usage, etc. will be warned and then escorted
from the graduate section if not compliant.

 SMALL SCHOOL & DEPARTMENTAL CEREMONIES

Please seek information from your student or leaders of your students
program or small school, or heritage association for details on times and
locations of their ceremonies. The dates are listed at the top of this
letter.

(*Participation in a small school or departmental ceremony is not a
guarantee that the student has indeed met all requirements necessary for
graduation or that the student will be eligible to participate in the large
school commencement exercises.)

BEHAVIOR REMINDER

We would like to finish this year on the same positive note that we have had
all year, and we would like to remind seniors of a few behavior
expectations:

1.	After the Senior Meeting, seniors who violate any school policy that
causes an out-of-school suspension will forfeit all rights for participating
in graduation activities, including the Senior Ball.
2.	Sobriety: For reasons of safety, any student suspected of being
under the influence at any event will have his/her parents/guardians
notified. Parents/Guardians will be responsible for picking the student up.

If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact the
Main Office at 510-644-6120.
