JUNIORS/SOPHOMORES
1. Seeking Mathworks Coordinator. If you are a sophomore or junior looking
for a leadership position for next year, have a good organizational sense,
like working with middle school students and are willing to work on Tuesdays

2. Attention Sophomores who completed the PSAT/NMSQT on Saturday, October
15, 2011 - Please view the PSAT score report distribution schedules below:
PSAT score report distribution for Sophomores:
AC and BIHS: Distribution will take place in the College and Career Center
(D221) during lunch period Friday (Jan. 13).
PSAT score report distribution took place last week for Juniors. If you
took the PSAT but did not receive a score report last week, please come to
D221 to see Ms. Price or Mr. Barton.
ALL STUDENTS
BART tickets for the month of January are here. Pick them up in D224, LUNCH
TIME ONLY! (11:38-12:18). February BART ticket orders will be on January
18-19.
CLUBS
1. Stressed out about finals? Wouldn't you love some candy? Send a candy
gram to your friends or to yourself! APIC is selling Lunar New Year Candy
grams this week every day at lunch in the C-building gallery. Candy grams
will be delivered the Friday before finals.
2. There will be a Chicano/Latino sale today! They will sell $5 a plate
with tamales. Come help them raise money for their graduation. At the
Senior Steps!!
*3. Come to Earphone English club today at lunch in C124. We'll be reading
"Catching Fire".
SPORTS
1. Softball conditioning begins Jan.17 at 3:45 on the track. We will then
condition Tue/Thur/Fri at 3:45. Tryouts begin Feb.6 at Grove Park for those
girls who have complete athletic packets.
2. Looking for a spring sport? Join Men's and women's crew! Come to G305
for information.
3. The Berkeley High School Cheerleading Squad will hold their First Annual
Crab Feed Fundraiser! Saturday, February 4, 2012, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at
Willard Middle School, 2425 Stuart St., Berkeley, Ca . Donation is $50 per
person. You can buy your ticket from any B.H.S. Cheerleader or B.H.S. Cheer
Coach. Come and enjoy Hot/Cold Fresh Cracked Crab, Pasta, Salad and Garlic
Bread, Live entertainment, Raffles, Door Prizes and more. Tickets are on
sale!! Please come and support or teams in this fundraising event to raise
funds to attend the USA Spirit Nationals. If you are interested in renting
a vendor's booth, at this great event, please contact Ms. Sandra McGill, for

EVENTS
1. COME OUT AND SEE SOME OF THE BEST DANCE IN THE BAY! BHS Dance Production
shows continue next weekend, January 13-14 - Friday and Saturday @ 7pm.
Student tickets only $5. This is our best show in years -- so come check out
the stylin' moves of that guy sitting next to you in math class. The shows
sell out so come early to get a seat. Tickets sell at the door or on

The Spring 2012 PLAY session is starting January 25th and enrollment is now
open.!!!!
The Police and Life Academy for Youth (PLAY) provides an introduction to and
in-depth look at local criminal justice and law enforcement practices.
Starting, Wednesday, January 25 we will spend 11 sessions covering topics
include:
. Emergency Preparedness / Build-a-kit
. Concepts of Criminal Justice Overview by Alameda District Attorney
. Individual Accountability and Civil Rights
. Basic Weaponless Defense and Color Code of Awareness
. As well as workshops on Crime Scene Investigation focusing on
fingerprinting, dispatch responsibilities and much more!
