This Thursday, November 17th, BHS will be participating in the nationwide
Great American Smokeout, which we are calling "Jackets Kick ASH!" We have
been announcing tobacco facts daily in the bulletin and will be dedicating
Thursday to Tobacco Awareness.  

Our lunch time event will take place in the upper courtyard and will involve
musical performances, games, raffle PRIZES (including gift cards to popular
places), along with valuable information, handouts and tobacco prevention
goodies.  There is no cost for raffle tickets however in order for students
to claim a prize, they must be here throughout lunch (that's the catch for
staying:)). 

Berkeley High Health Center along with the City of Berkeley and our parent
volunteers will be tabling information and games for students.  Teachers,
feel free to come by and pick up some brochures and posters to post in your
classroom.  In addition, we are still taking sign-ups for both our education
and cessation groups.   Groups will be starting the week we come back from
Thanksgiving break.

Please encourage your students to stay on campus during lunch on Thursday.
This is our kick-off event for our grant and we appreciate your support!
