Spirit Week: T-Shirt Decorating Event – 10/19, 3:30-5:00pm
In partnership with the Berkeley Public Library, join us at the YMCA-PG&E Teen Center for a t-shirt decorating event in honor of your high school’s Spirit Week! ThrillFest (a B.A.T.S. Production) – 10/22, 6:00-9:00pm
Join us for an invitation-only night of mystery, magic, and mad science at the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley. This teen-planned, teen-run night includes DJs spinning house/techno/trance, magic, explosive eye-popping science activities and demonstration provided by B.A.T.S. (or Bay Area Teen Science), and a costume contest (come in your best ThrillFest theme-inspired costume of mystery, magic, or made science!). *$3 admission fee (includes food, refreshments and transportation). Oakland Children’s Hospital Workshop – 10/24, 4:00-5:00pm
Join us during a “Head & Neck Injuries in Sports” topic and learn useful information on the causes, mechanism of injury, treatment and possible preventative measures taken in the assessment of sports-related head & neck injuries with a special focus on concussions. *FREE! Y-Scholars Program Family Orientation Night – 10/27, 6:00-7:30pm
Students from all grade levels and their families are highly encouraged to attend the Y-Scholars’ first family night event of the year. Young Novelists Workshop – 10/30, 3:30-6:30pm

Interact Club – Next Meeting on 11/1, 4:00-5:00pm
Interact members will develop leadership skills, personal integrity, and a greater understanding of their community and the world. Members will work with Rotary and Rotaract to put on service events. Interact Club also sponsors social activities and offers opportunities for scholarships and summer leadership camps. *FREE! Meetings are every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the Month. Laser Tag – 11/4, 4:00-6:00pm
Experience the most technologically advanced laser tag ever seen! Suit up in ultra high-tech laser sensored vests, move through forests and maze-like corridors to zap your opponents and deactivate opposing team headquarters. All players may be eligible to win an iPod Shuffle! *$5 admission fee (includes one game of laser tag and food & refreshments). Alateen Meetings – Every Monday, 3:45-4:45pm
Alateen is for teens whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. Alateen meetings at the YMCA-PG&E Teen Center are free and confidential, and are run with the guidance of sponsors who are established and qualified Al-Anon members. Join us during these drop-in meetings every Monday from 3:45-4:45pm and learn about the disease and effective solutions for any problem by applying the principles of the Alateen program. *For more information, contact Ana David at 510 542 2131 or adavid at ymca-cba.org
