Dear BHS Families:

Student schedules will be available during registration week, August
22-26, on the following schedule:

Freshmen, Monday, August 22

Sophomores, Tuesday, August 23

Juniors, Wednesday, August 24

Seniors, Thursday, August 25

 

The deadline for submitting a Request for Schedule Change form is Friday,
August 26. 

These forms will be available in front of the counseling office on the day
that you are scheduled to register.

Changes will not be made for teacher preference or for preferences in the
period placement of a requested course in a student's schedule. 

Requests for schedule changes will be considered or honored for the
following reasons: 

1.	GAP IN SCHEDULE.  All students must have six consecutive classes,
periods 1-6. Students with gaps must report to D221 during the period in
which they have a gap in schedule (seniors need consecutive classes but
may not need six total classes)
2.	WRONG COURSE LEVEL.  e.g. The student is enrolled in Spanish 3/4,
but should be in Spanish 5/6 or s/he should be in Algebra II, but is
enrolled in Geometry.
3.	A COURSE IS NEEDED TO FULFILL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENT.
4.	A COURSE IS NEEDED TO FULFILL AN "a-g REQUIREMENT" FOR APPLICATION
TO COLLEGE. 
5.	STUDENT WOULD LIKE TO ENROLL IN AN OPTIONAL BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, OR
PHYSICS ENHANCEMENT LAB*   *Enrollment will be limited to space available.


Counselors will be busy scheduling new students and will be unavailable to
answer questions regarding schedules during registration/orientation.  

Request for Schedule Change forms require administrator approval before
they are reviewed by a counselor.  Forms will be considered in the order
in which they are turned in. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to
get the 2011-12 school year off to a smooth start.
