College Advisor's Bulletin

Week of November 6-13, 2010

SAT WORD OF THE DAY: Untenable - unable to be maintained

SENIORS:

1. Both the UC application (www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply) and the
Cal State application (www.csumentor.edu <http://www.csumentor.edu/> ) are
now available online. The deadline for the UC application is November 30.
The priority deadline for the Cal State applications is also November 30.
We urge you to get your applications in before November 30th, and
preferably earlier as both websites get extremely busy (and slow) at the
end of November. Check the schedule for workshops in your red folders. The
schedule is also available in your BHS Moodle site, as well as on the
College Advisor's website. Both college advisors are also available to
review your applications before they are submitted, but will need a day or
two of turn-around time, so don't wait until the last minute.

2. Seniors please access your BHS Moodle account for the latest updated
college center information. (College visits, application workshops,
college center deadlines, SAT dates, etc.)

half-hour appointment during the fall. If students miss their appointment,
they will not be able to sign up again. Parents/guardians are welcome to
attend the meeting as long as it is okay with their student. Seniors may
drop in any day at lunch or after school without an appointment to have
shorter questions answered. College advisor assignments: Ms. Price - AC
students and CPA students, Ms. Sandberg - IHS, AHA, SSJE, and CAS
students.

*7. COLLEGE VISITS

Over 100 college representatives visit Berkeley High's College/Career

permission of the teacher whose class they are missing. Sign up in advance
in the College/Career Center and pick up a permission slip. The complete
