Dear BHS Families:

This week brings about our first Advisory meeting for students as well as parent elections to school committees. Below you will find some additional info on both those events.

Advisory

On Friday we will begin our Advisory program. Students will be notified of who their advisor is by Wednesday of this week. You may also view Advisory as part of a student's schedule on Powerschool beginning today to see the names of their advisors and the rooms or locations where those sections will meet. Advisory groups will meet eight times this year and curriculum will be specific to grade-levels. Note that on monthly advisory dates school begins a few minutes earlier so please prepare.

Committee Elections

Elections for our School Site Council and BSEP Committee will happen at the PTSA meeting on Thursday, September 16th at 7:00 in the Florence Schwimley Theatre on campus. This is our first all-school meeting of the year and a very important night. We want every parent/guardian at the school to consider getting involved in the PTSA and to consider serving on a school committee. You'll also find further details at http://www.bhs.berkeleypta.org
