Cheerleading Announcements and Upcoming Events:

1. The BHS Cheerleaders and the UC Berkeley Dance Team met face to face last Saturday, at the Cal Fans Appreciation Day.  The BHS Cheerleaders were welcomed with open arms, a dance routine by the dancers, a team picture, and were greeted by the entire Cal football team. Thanks to all the girls that participated in this event.

2. Calling all you crazy Jacket Fans, to tryout to be the next BHS Yellow Jacket Mascot! Yes, you heard it right! The tryouts will be held Monday, September 13th thru Wednesday, September 15th 2010, at 6pm, in the “Old” Gym.  All grades are welcome to tryout but you must attend all three days of tryouts in order to be eligible.  Pick up your application today at the Athletics Office or in the Leadership Office.  The deadline to turn in your application is Friday September 10, 2010! So get your application today!!

3. First BHS Kick-off Home football game is Friday, September 10, 2010, game time Junior Varsity at 4:30pm and Varsity at 7:00pm. Your very own BHS Yellow Jackets will face-off against the Freedom High School Falcons! Be there and bring your school spirit! And you guessed it this year Cheerleaders will be there in full uniform ready to GET YOU FIRED UP!

4. The Berkeley High School Cheerleading teams will participate in the upcoming Solano Stroll Festival and Parade, on Sunday September 12, 2010.  Come and join in the fun and stop by our Yellow Jacket Booth for a chance to Win a Grand Prize.
