FREE SAT/ACT PREPARATION WORKSHOP
UC BERKELEY
Saturday June 26, 10AM-Noon

Dear parents/guardians of college-bound sophomores and juniors,

Summer vacation is a good time for students to prepare to take the SAT or
ACT test.

At UC Berkeley, a free SAT/ACT preparation workshop is being offered on
Saturday June 26 from 10 AM until noon.

This two-hour workshop will be conducted by Raymond Barglow, Ph.D. and will
explain:

1.   The differences between the SAT and the ACT.   Knowing these
differences will help you decide which test you should take.

2.   Test preparation.  Options discussed will include: studying on your
own, working with a tutor, or taking an agency class (such as Kaplan or
Princeton Review).

3.   Specific strategies for answering SAT and ACT questions correctly and
writing a high-scoring essay.

Enrollment in this free workshop will be limited to ten students.  For more
information or to enroll, contact Dr. Barglow at ray at barglow.com or by
telephone at 510-486-1050.  He will answer your questions about the workshop
and discuss SAT/ACT test preparation with you.

Raymond Barglow's background: He received an undergraduate degree in physics
from Cal Tech and a doctorate in philosophy at UC Berkeley. He has taught
at UC Berkeley and at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He is
currently teaching a summer class at UC Berkeley on the subject of tutoring.
