ADMINISTRATION

*1. All students who are taking AP Biology next school year, please come to
G301 at lunch Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to pick up your summer
assignments.

*2. All students signed up to take AP Art History for the 2010-2011 school
year, please come to C232 at lunch, Tuesday or Thursday to pick up your
summer reading assignments.

3. Graduation tickets are now on sale in D173, cash or money orders only.
$15 each. Tickets are sold from 9-10 am, at lunch and after school. If you
are on free or reduced-price lunch, please have your counselor sign a
statement, to receive 5 tickets at the discount price of $5.

4. Achievers will be on campus Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 12:30 - 3:00 pm
in the quad. Pick up your caps and gowns.

5. Yearbooks can be picked up at lunch and after school in H102B.

6. Summer PE waivers will be available in the counseling office beginning
Monday, June 7th. Completed summer PE waivers must be returned into
Vice-Principal Vernon Walton by June 18th. No Summer PE waivers will be
accepted after the deadline of June 18th. Spring PE waivers are due June
17th.  Students who applied for a Spring PE waiver can pick up their waiver
in the counseling office for a second coach/supervisor signature.

7. Looking for a way to excite your community about parent leadership
opportunities in BSEP, SSC (the new committee that replaces SGC next year),
and the Safety Committee? For the most up-to-date, concise, and accurate
information available, pick up "Be the Voice/Sea la Voz," a brochure created
by members of these committees. A limited number of brochures are now at the
front desk, with a full print run (photocopying) scheduled for July. For
more info, please contact Janet Huseby or Belinda McDaniel.

8. BART ticket orders for the month of June are here. Please come by the
Parent Resource Center (D224) to pick them up. You can pick them up in D224
during lunch time ONLY.

9. Please check tables in front of D224 (Parent Resource Center) during
lunch for lost and found items. Anything not picked up by Wed. June 16 will
be given to charity. Lunchtime only. 

10. This is a reminder to all students that all items remaining in the
lockers after June 17 will be thrown away. All items must go.


CLUBS

*1. "The BHS Mountain Bike Racing Club wrapped up its 13th consecutive year
at the 2010 California State Championship race in Grass Valley.  Riders
Nathan Granados, Lang Miller, Emily Anderson-Merritt, and Nelle Gray each
finished in the top ten in their categories, and Sophomore Isaiah Rapko
finished the season with first place overall in JV Boys.  Come race for BHS
next year -- new riders are welcome at the beginning of the 2011 season, and
you don't even need your own bike!"

2. Do you want to help your fellow students out? Do you want to be a part of
a movement that takes a progressive approach to discipline and consequences?
Do you want to strengthen your college application, learn to be more
confident, get elective credit, and get your foot into the door of the legal
profession? Join student court!! See Mr. Luu in H104 for more information
about how to sign up.


JOBS

*1. Interested in Summer Youth Employment?  Are you between the ages of
16-24 and live in Berkeley, Albany, Alameda, or Emeryville?  Please visit
our Applicant/Parent Orientation, on Tuesday, June 15th from 2-4pm.  For
