Are you currently a Junior Attending Berkeley High School? Are you interested in developing your on the job skills? Would you like some help with your resume and interviewing skills? Are you interested in working this summer?

The Herb Singer Green Scholars program may be just what you need! The Herb Singer Green Scholars Program (HSGS) will be accepting applications from January 25th to February 5th, 2010.  

Students completing the entire six-month program will receive:
1.        Career skills training
2.        Interviewing experience
3.        Relevant work experience
4.        Updated resumé and references
5.        Certificate of Completion
Workshops start on Tuesday, March 2nd, and end the week of May 17th. Students will earn $15.00 per session attended.

This is the third year of the Herb Singer Green Scholars Program. The program includes twelve weeks of workshops, and summer internships at green businesses. The workshops will be held twice a week starting March 2nd, and they will include interview skills, time management, and communication.  

There will also be field trips to green businesses every other week. Internships will start during the last two weeks of June and go until the end of August. The interns will meet with the HSGS coordinator once a week over the summer to go over the week at work and get lunch money and transportation costs. Costs for uniforms will also be provided.

Certificates of completion and letters of recommendation will be given at the end of the program.
