2020 Vision Community Meetings at B-Tech Academy

On November 3, 2009 a draft proposal of recommendations to meet the 2020 Vision for Berkeley’s Children and Youth was presented at a Joint Berkeley School Board City Council session. This Saturday is the second of two presentations of these recommendations and the work of 2020 Vision in the community to inform the public and encourage feedback and questions.

Everyone is encouraged to join us at B-Tech (if you are unable to attend, send your input to the Berkeley Alliance: info at berkeleyalliance.org).

Saturday, January 9, 2010
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Berkeley Technology Academy
2701 Martin Luther King Jr. Way at Derby St

In the spring, after taking into account community feedback and best practice information, the Berkeley School Board and City Council will receive a new document with priority action items. If you are interested in viewing the draft recommendations, please visit the District website (www.berkeley.k12.ca.us).

If you, or a community group you are involved in, would like to learn more about the 2020 Vision and the community partnerships that are working to close the achievement and health gaps in Berkeley's public schools, contact the Berkeley Alliance (510) 845-7103 [mailto:info at berkeleyalliance.org] or www.berkeleyalliance.org.
