The BUSD Public Information Half Hour is a pre-board show that shares news and information about the Berkeley Schools on Berkeley Channel 33 before the Berkeley Unified School District Board of Education's regular meetings. Many in the community do not receive Berkeley's cable channel 33, so this year I am bringing it to YouTube and TeacherTube for your enjoyment. The September 2009 show is divided into three parts because of the time limitations on YouTube, TeacherTube & Facebook. This edition has the following information that relates to the BHS community:

Berkeley Unified School District's former Chef Ann Cooper explains the District's Universal Breakfast Program and the quality of the food that is free to all BUSD students every day. Chef Ann has been the Director of Nutrition Services for the past four years. She has moved on to Boulder Colorado public schools to continue in her mission to change the way people think about school lunches. The Board and the District's vision, with the "School Lunch Initiative" and with BUSD's Integrated Policies, from Nutrition to Physical Fitness were what brought Ann Cooper to Berkeley. That vision continues under the direction of Marni Posey, who has participated first in the development of the vision and then its implementation with Chef Ann these past four years. Marni Posey has been the Manager of Nutrition Services since 2005. She first joined BUSD Nutrition Services in 2001 as a Field Operations Supervisor, and she has earned the role of Director of
 Nutrition Services.
