YouthWorks is the City of Berkeley's Youth Employment Program. The 2009 fall after-school program will be accepting applications from October 1st until October 31st

Interested Youth are required to come in person to the Youth Works Office at 1947 Center Street, Basement, to pick up an application, starting Thursday, October 1st.

Qualified Youth (14-25, Berkeley residents) will be placed in a variety of jobs, including childcare, recreation & clerical positions within city departments and various community organizations. The pay is $8.00/hr, and Youth may work up to 3 hours/day (15 hrs/week) for a period of 8 weeks.  The tentative start date is mid December. 

To apply: Youth need to come in in person to the YouthWorks office to sign in and pick up an application sheet. The completed application, with Parental Authorization, must be returned by October 31st, along with Photo ID, Social Security Card, Proof of Residence, a typed or word-processed resume, and a progress report showing a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
