1. The Tutoring Center is open after school Monday-Friday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the College and Career Center. Tutors are available in all subjects. The Tutoring Center is funded by BSEP.

2. More tutoring. The Teachers' Tutorials schedule will be available at Back-to-School Night, Thursday, Oct. 1. Funded by the BHS Development Group, teachers in all subjects will conduct study groups after school in their classrooms starting in early October.

3. PE Waivers. Two years of Physical Education are required for high school graduation. This requirement may be fulfilled by taking classes during the school day or by participating in an BHS sponsored after school sports team. One season of a sport is the equivalent of one semester PE. In addition, each year the school gives a few students a PE waiver. In order to qualify for a waiver the student must participate for at least five hours a week in a nationally sanctioned sport or activity. The student must submit a letter (on letterhead) or a brochure describing the sports or activity and its physical address. Waiver forms are available in the Counseling Office. (We were out last week but they are now in.) Waiver forms for this year must be turned into the counseling office by Friday, September 18.
