STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN

ADMINISTRATION

*1.	Seniors-reminder:  Graduation rehearsal on Thursday, June 11 at
12:40 pm.

2.  Yearbooks are for sale in H102B after school everyday, and on the Senior
Steps at lunch.  $80 for 1, $65 if you have free and reduced lunch.
Previously purchased yearbooks can also be picked up with an ID or receipt.

3.  To all AP US History students in Academic Choice, please pick up the
readings for the summer!  This is very important to be ready on Day one of
the next school year. See Mr. J Colon, or Mr. B Sanoff.

4.  Attention all students taking AP Spanish Literature next year. Stop by
C116 before school or C125 after school any day to pick up your summer
reading packet and answer a few questions from Señor Lobo. Gracias y nos
vemos.


FOR JUNIORS

*1.  The Junior Summer To Do List and the Senior Profile are both available
in the College/Career Center.  Come by and pick yours up.  It will make the
Fall much easier if you start your college search and application process
during the summer.  


FOR SENIORS

1.  Southwest Airlines and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and
Universities (HACU) open travel program for college students - Dandole Alas
a Tu Exito/Giving Flight to Your Success.  A panel of judges comprised of
college professors and education advocates from coast to coast will gather
in the summer to select the students who will receive free travel to their
colleges and universities.  Each student is eligible to receive from one to
four tickets that the student or an immediate family member can use in the
Fall 2009 to travel to/from a college or university.  The travel tickets are
awarded to undergraduate and graduate Hispanic students with socio-economic
need who journey away from home to pursue higher education.  Essay required.

2.  PAID Summer Day Camp Jobs and VOLUNTEER Internships at Camp Galileo.

FOR ALL STUDENTS
                        
1.  Paid Youth Web Consultant  Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) UC
Berkeley.  The Labor Occupational Health Program is dedicated to educating
youth about their rights on the job and how to stay safe at work.~ This
summer, they are seeking a high school student who has some web design
experience/interest to help plan for and develop a more engaging and
interactive website (www.youngworkers.org).~ You will learn new web
development and design skills and will have the opportunity to work with a
professional designer to build a website using industry standard tools. For

2.  Homework helper needed or a 9th grade girl. Are you good at
math/language arts and/or Spanish?  Prefer a junior who can assist with
homework and help organize assignments. We live 8 blocks from BHS. Will pay
$12.00 an hour for approx 1-1.5 hrs per night. Interviews in June.
