YouthWorks is the City of Berkeley's Youth Employment Program.  

The 2009 summer employment program is now officially accepting
applications.  

The enrollment period is from Feb 9th until March 31st

Interested Youth are requested to come in person to the Youth Works
Office at 1947 Center Street, Basement to pick up an application,
starting Monday, Feb 9th. 

Qualified Youth (Berkeley residents who are 14-25 years old) will be
placed in a variety of jobs, including childcare, recreation &
clerical positions within city departments and various community
organizations.  The pay is $8.00/hr, and Youth may work up to 6
hours/day (30 hrs/week) for a period of 8-10 weeks.  The tentative
start date is mid to late June.  

To apply: Youth need to come in in person to the YouthWorks office to
sign in and pick up an application sheet.  The completed application,
with Parental Authorization and all supplemental forms, must be
returned by March 31st, along with Photo ID, Social Security Card,
Proof of Residence, a typed or word-processed resume.
