Please note the following important dates and information:

1. Late Start days (Sept. 17)
2. Back-to-School Night (Sept. 25)
3. Allston Way road closure (Sept. 16)
4. Staff Development/Holidays

1.
There will be a late start day on Wednesday, September 17.  Classes
begin at 10am, and follow the schedule shown farther below these
messages.  Future late start Wednesdays will generally occur on the
first Wednesday of every month, but please watch the etree for any
changes.  The next scheduled late start day is October 15, but not for
sophmores, who will arrive early for the PSAT.

Back-to-School Night is Thursday, September 25, at 7:00 p.m.
Parents/guardians should report to their child's first period class.
Students should be bringing home a copy of their schedule earlier in
the week.  If you do not receive a copy of your child's schedule,
copies will be available in the Lobby of the Community Theatre.
Parents will then follow their child's schedule with 10 minutes in
each class and 6-minute passing periods.  Coffee and cookies will be
available in the Food Court throughout the evening, and administrators
will also be in the Food Court for conversation.  BHS wearables, BHS
Scrip, and other organizations will be available for sales and
information.  Please come over and enjoy the informative and lively
social atmosphere!

Please note that Back to School Night is an event for parents, and
students are encouraged not to attend.  It is also not the time for
parent-teacher conferences--the time is too short.  During the
evening, teachers will tell you the best way to get in touch with them
about your individual student.

3.
The portion of Allston Way between Milvia Street and Harold Way will
be closed to vehicle traffic on Tuesday, Sept. 16th from 7:00 am to
3:00 pm while cranes install HVAC equipment on the roof of the YMCA.
This is the section of Allston at the YMCA and Post Office.  The road
is expected to be open for pedestrian traffic, but you may need to
allow extra time if driving anywhere in the area that day.

4.
Please note the following Staff Development days and holidays where
there will be NO CLASSES:

Monday, October 13 is Staff Development
Monday, November 10 is Staff Development
Tuesday, November 11 is the Veteran's Day holiday 
Wed-Fri, November 26-28 is the Thanksgiving Break

Note: There are no zero period classes, unless they have been
rescheduled for after the staff meeting (8:30am).  Please check with
zero period class teachers about scheduling on minimum days.
