Registration starts next week. Many wonderful volunteers have stepped
up to help hand out schedules, collect forms, issue textbooks,
lockers, etc. But we need many many more. Though our children will
often not tell their parents, they are excited to be back in school or
excited to have finally made it to high school. Working registration
is a wonderful opportunity to watch the action AND meet the students
in your child's class.

I am aiming for 15 to 20 volunteers per shift (morning 8:45 to 11:45
a.m. and afternoon 12:45 to 3:45 p.m.) on each day, and this is what
we have so far:

1. Tuesday, August 19 / Freshmen
a.m. 9 volunteers
p.m. 5 volunteers

2. Wednesday, August 20 / Sophomores
a.m. 6 volunteers
p.m. 5 volunteers

3. Thursday, August 21 / Juniors
a.m. 7 volunteers
p.m. 4 volunteers

4.Friday, August 22 / Seniors
a.m. 5 volunteers
p.m. 3 volunteers

The fewer the volunteers, the longer the lines. The seniors will have
VERY long lines on Friday, so please help! If you can please take a
shift (8:45 to noon) and (12:45 to 3:45) you would be most
appreciated. Please contact me at jhuseby at pacbell.net

Parking passes will be available for near-campus parking. There will
be coffee and baked goods but, even more important, registration is a
rare opportunity to meet at least half your child's classmates as they
work their way through the lines. If you can help, please let me know
what day and shift you can take as soon as possible at
