[BHS etree] ADMIN: Late Start, Orientation/Registration Dates, Help for student elections

1. Next Wednesday, May 7 is a late start day.  First period begins at 
10:00 a.m.

2. The dates for the 2008-2009 Registration/Orientation have been 
set.  Freshmen  orientation / registration will take place on 
Tuesday, August 19. Sophomore registration will be Wednesday, August 
20; Juniors registration on  Thursday, August 21; and Seniors on 
Friday, August 22.  Students will be asked to report at a specific 
time which will be printed on the Summer mailing envelope.  Please 
save the envelope when you receive it.

During registration students will have the picture ID taken, receive 
their class schedule, turn in forms, be issued textbooks, purchase an 
organizer. If schedules are incorrect, counselors will be available. 
In addition to registration, Freshmen have an orientation.  Freshmen 
will attend a special assembly, meet administrators, go over rules 
and then go on guided tours of the campus.

3. On Wednesday, May 7 from 1 to 3:15 Student Body elections will be 
held in the Community Theater.  Vice Principal Vernon Walton could 
use three to four parent volunteers to help facilitate the elections. 
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the 9th-11th grade student
