Administration
*1. BSEP meeting on Tuesday, March 18th at 5:00 pm. Agenda items:
Members and alternates sign in; establish quorum; Introductions;
Approval of last meetings; Approval of agenda-additions/changes;
public comment; discussion- Which proposals to fund in the F?Y 2009
BSEP budget and amounts to allocate to each proposal; Dinner break;
Action Item-Finish discussion and vote on proposals and allocations
in the F/Y 2009 BSEP budget; Action item-Discussion and Vote on
carryover budget priorities; set date for next meeting;
*2. Mathworks Coordinator needed. Excellent references for College,
provides community service hours and tutoring credits for math.

3. Are you currently enrolled in an AP class and plan to take the AP
test in May, 2008? Registration for the tests begins Monday, March 3
through March 14 during lunch and after school to 4 pm at the D
building ticket window on Allston Way. Tests cost $96 for each of the
first two and $86 for each subsequent test. There are test subsidies
available for low and middle income students. See your AP teacher for
fee reduction information and for a registration form. You may pay
with cash, personal check or money order payable to Berkeley high
School. Do NOT wait until the last day to register.
Clubs
Sports
*1. Pre-sale tickets for the Berkeley High vs Long Beach Poly
Division I State Championship game are available now in the BHS
Athletic Office. Admission includes the Division I Boys game.
Students/ Seniors- $10, Adults-$15. There are still seats on the
rooter bus, price includes admission-$20 students/ $25 Adults. Bus
leaves at 3:30 pm and will return after the girls game. Reserve your
seat by 12:00 noon Thursday. Rooter t-shirts will be available on
Friday and at the game.
2. Boys' Varsity Soccer Awards- BHS Food Court, 6:30 to 8:00 PM
Monday, 17 March 2008. Coach Juarez will hand out letters, team awards,
all-league medals and preview next season's new uniforms. We'd like to make
this a pot luck event so we can feed our hungry players. Families are invited
to bring food and drink to share.
Senior / Junior Section
*1. Attention: BHS girls- If you need a dress for the Junior Prom or
Senior Ball, Princess Project we'll be giving away free dresses this
Saturday, March 15th at Bayfair Mall in San Leandro starting at 7:00
am. and in San Francisco on March 22nd and 29th. The San Francisco
location will be announced later.
2. Tuxedos- Express Tuxedo will be here on Friday, March 14th during lunch.
If you need a tuxedo and have not ordered one, it's not too late.
3. Gap Year Fair - Sunday, March 16, 2:00-4:00 pm, Jewish Community
High School of the Bay, 1835 Ellis Street, San Francisco. Free fair
with exhibitors offering a variety of gap year options for students
who are interested in taking some time off before attending college.

4. SCHOLARSHIPS - Beach Blanket Babylon Scholarship for the Arts -
Scholarships offered in the areas of voice, acting and dance. Open to
seniors who are legal residents of the U.S. One winner from each
category will be awarded $10,000 to be used for higher education.
Applications available in D221. Deadline: April 25.
Events/ Performance
1. Jr. Prom is March 22, 2008 at the Scottish Rite Center, Oakland.
Tickets are still available.
