Graduation Traffic Information from the UC Berkeley Police Department:


1) There will be two passenger loading zones for dropping off
passengers at the Greek Theater. Southbound traffic can drop off in
the bus zone across from the Greek Theater. Northbound traffic can
drop off in the bus zone just north of the Greek Theater. Disabled
persons with wheelchairs will be allowed to drop off on a service road
at the north side of the Greek Theater. The service road will be open
only for wheelchair drop offs. UCPD will have signs posted to indicate
the location of the loading zones.

2) Gayley Road at Stadium Rim Way Road will be closed. BHS Faculty and
staff that have parking passes for the south lot of the Greek Theater
(Bowles Hall
Lot) should be instructed to drive up Channing Way to Prospect Street,
left on Prospect Street, around the Memorial Stadium to the Bowles
Hall Lot.

3) In the newsletter you send out to students and parents, please tell
them there will be officers on bicycles and motorcycles that will
issue citations to vehicles that stop in the middle of the roadway to
drop off passengers.

4) At the end of the graduation, when the crowd empties onto Gayley
Road, UCPD and BPD will shut down the roads completely. There will be
no vehicle traffic allowed in front of the Greek Theater. Please let
students and parents know that individuals that need to be picked up
in front of the Greek Theater will have to wait until the road is
reopened. There will be no exceptions!!!
