FOR SENIORS
May 22 - Senior Awards Ceremony, 7:00 pm, in the Communty Theater. IF
YOU HAVEN’T YET TURNED IN YOUR FORM LISTING YOUR AWARDS AND/OR
SCHOLARSHIPS, THE FINAL DEADLINE IS TODAY - THURSDAY, MAY 17! Please
drop off your form at the College/Career Center. We want to honor all
of our seniors who have won any awards, including those from teachers
and counselors, or scholarships you have received during your high
school years. It is a wonderful way for you to get the acknowledgement
you deserve and celebrate with many others from the class of ’07. If
you haven’t received a form, you can pick one up in D221.
*May 25 – Last day to turn in the Senior Exit Report in D221. The
information contained in these reports is very important so that we can
have accurate data of the future plans of all seniors and assess how
Berkeley High is doing in college admissions. No information on an
individual student will be shared without the student’s permission. If
you want your future plans listed in the senior edition of the Jacket,
you must let us know on the form.
June 1 – Last day for students to turn in a Transcript Request Form to
Ms. Mellion in D173 so that we can send an official transcript to the
school you will be attending in the fall. Write “FINAL TRANSCRIPT” in
capital letters across the top of the form and paperclip it to a
stamped business size envelope addressed to the college, with Berkeley
High School (1980 Allston Way, Berkeley 94704) as the return address.
If you are under 18, please remember to have your parent or guardian
sign the request form. All colleges require that students send them a
final transcript confirming their senior year grades.
If you are getting below a C in any of your classes and are planning to
attend a four year college in the fall, you MUST contact the college to
discuss this. All colleges will receive a copy of your final
transcript. By contacting the college and discussing your options with
them, you may be able to prevent your admission from being rescinded.
Please see me or Mr. Saraceno if you would like to discuss your grades
or what to say to the college.
The following Cal State campuses are still accepting applications: Cal
Maritime, Bakersfield, Chico (except nursing and recording arts),
Dominguez Hills, East Bay, Fullerton (computer science and engineering
only), Los Angeles, Monterey Bay, Northridge, Sacramento, San
Bernardino, Stanislaus, San Jose, and Sonoma (except interdisciplinary
studies, liberal studies and pre-nursing majors).
FOR JUNIORS

Advisor, it’s not too late! There are now many appointment slots
available. Come to the College/Career Center to sign up. If your last
name begins with A-La, sign up with Ms. Abrams, for Le-Z, sign up with
Mr. Saraceno. We both also have shorter drop-in appointments every day
at lunch and after school for all juniors and seniors.

other area schools can provide their own transportation to the site,
they are invited to participate in this great program as well.

SWIFT, a nonprofit cultural exchange organization in Oakland, is
