Hello everyone!

The end of the year is quickly approaching and the Asian Graduation
Committee needs your help with donations of items that can be sold at
a yard sale.  The purpose of the sale is to fundraise for Asian
Graduation.

Asian Graduation is a ceremony held in May for all Asian-American
students and students of any other race or ethnic group who wish to
participate. The ceremony is separate from the main graduation and
does not replace it. It is merely a celebration of achievements by
students during their four years at Berkeley High. All students
participating dress in their traditional native clothing and have the
opportunity to give a speech to have their voices heard.

Last year, the students needed to pay a fee to participate in order to
cover the costs of sashes that have "Berkeley High School," the
graduating year, and native flags embroidered on them. This
discouraged many students from attending.

This year, we wish to change that so all students interested can
participate and plan to hold a yard sale during Spring Break to
fundraise for the costs. We need donations of items that can be sold
at the yard sale. If you are interested in donating, please contact
Sua Im at sua_im at yahoo.com for a drop-off location and date.
