Berkeley PTA Council presents:
"Friday Film Festival for Diversity 2007"
with Spanish language subtitling offered

March 23
"That's a Familily"
This film for all ages explores the real world, full-range definitions of "family."

April 13
"Crash"
Rated R, this film explores issues of race and culture from multiple 
perspectives.

April 27
"Making Whiteness Visible"
This documentary presents testimonies from white people on issues related
to race.

The Berkeley PTA Council is
eager to participate in conversations about race & diversity in our
schools & our community.
It is our sincere hope that these films will build our collective
vocabulary, inspire dialogue, and nurture understanding.

ALL FREE including:

DINNER - DOOR PRIZES - FUN - CHILD CARE!!!

All films will show at 6:30 pm in the
Longfellow Middle School Auditorium
1500 Derby Street (at Sacramento Avenue)

Festival de Pelmculas con el tema de Diversidad 2007
Se ofreceran con subtmtulos en espaqol

Marzo 23, "That's a Family:" Esta pelmcula para todas las edades
explora el mundo real, y varias definiciones de lo que significa la
familia.

Abril 13, "Crash:" Clasificada R, esta pelmcula explora temas
relacionados con raza y cultura perspectivas multiples.

Abril 27, "Making Whiteness Visible:" Este documental presenta
testimonios desde de personas de la raza blanca acerca de temas
relacionados con la raza.

El Concilio del PTA de Berkeley se complace en participar en
conversaciones acerca de la raza y diversidad en nuestras escuelas y
nuestra comunidad.  Sinceramente esperamos que estas pelmculas ayuden
a crear un vocabulario selectivo, inspiren el dialogo, y alimenten el
entendimiento.
