BUSD Family Diversity Meeting  2/13

Come join this dynamic group of parents and educators! Our Family
Coalition, parents, and the Berkeley Unified School District will continue
to discuss family diversity and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender
(LGBT) issues in BUSD schools. A lot has happened in just two months. Come
and help us work on making our schools more welcoming and inclusive
towards LBGT families and help teach our kids acceptance of all kinds of
families (adoptive, mixed race, parents who are divorced, single parent
families and more).

Special Focus This Month

A representative from Ally Action will present information about the 
state laws protecting
against harassment and discrimination based on real or perceived sexual
orientation and gender identity AB 537.

We will report back from a meeting with Neil Smith, Assistant
Superintendent of Educational Services.
