[BHS etree] ADMIN: Senior Trip to Southern California is NOT a BHS Event

Dear Parents and Caregivers:

Several seniors have recently inquired about a trip to southern
California amusement parks in late May. It must be made abundantly
clear that this trip is in no way sponsored or endorsed by Berkeley
High School. After looking into the matter, we know that the trip has
been organized by a few students working with an independent event
company off campus called USA Student Travel. The top of the flyers
for the event say, "Berkeley High School Graduation Celebration for
the Class of 2007," while at the bottom of the page, in much smaller
print, is the note: "This is a non-school sponsored, well chaperoned
event." 

Again, Berkeley High School has no professional relationship with
this organization, has no knowledge of their reputation, and strongly
encourages families to do their own research before participating in
this event.
