Administration
*1. Parent Information Night- tonight at 7:00 PM in the Community Theater.
*2. There is going to be a Student Court trial in the Old City Hall across
the street at 2134 Martin Luther King Jr Way today! Come on over to
observe the Student Court in action or sign up to be on the jury so that
you can participate in the process! We'll have a snack table ready at
5:00, and the cases start to be heard at 5:30 PM. Potential jurors should
arrive early for sign up!
*3. Are you a senior African-American male who is interested in becoming a
teacher? You may be able to go to college for FREE! This program is a
collaboration between Clemon University and three black colleges (benedict
College, Clafin University and Morris College) to train, certify and
secure employment for African American males in South Carolina. If you

4. JOBS: Part-time Circuit coach position- 8-10 hours/week at $8 an hour
plus commission, free membership and fun environment. Must be energetic,
friendly and interested in women's health. Will train. 1537 Shattuck Ave.

Clubs
1. The dates of Independent Theater Project's informational meetings
have been changed. The last meeting is November 20th. All meetings
are at lunch in C213, Mr. Carton's room. All aspiring thespians
should be there.
2. Come learn the facts about HIV, STD's, and how to be safe.
Wednesday, November 29th during lunch in room H114. You must attend
the entire time to get a condom club sticker on your student ID.
Don't forget to bring your lunch and ID snacks will be served.
Senior / Junior Section
1. Full Scholarships are available for a high school exchange
program in Germany. No previous German language is required.
Partial scholarships are also available for 16 other countries.
Students can choose from summer, semester and academic year programs.

deadline: December 16th.
2. The Center for Clinical Immunology at Stanford University has a
Summer Intern Program. If you are a current junior or senior who
will have completed a biology class by the end of this school year
and are interested in biology research, apply for this 8-week summer
program consisting of lab research, lecture and some clinical
exposure. The program includes a $1,500 stipend to each attendee.

Events/ Performance
1. 40 years ago, a musical play opened in New York that changed
everything. It's happening, an experience, about war, love, peace,
rebellion, loving across color lines. It is the show about the 60s
and it is about to get rocked by BHS in 2007. It is HAIR! Come find
out how you can be part of it. Informational meeting, Tuesday,
November 21st, A-203, lunch.
2. The canned food drive is still going on. Every day counts so
please bring your cans to your second period class. The class with
the most cans will get a pizza party so bring in your cans. The cans
will be used in BHS annual holiday meal on December 9th.
SALES
1. BART Ticket orders will be taken on November 20th and 21st at
lunchtime at the ticket booth window in the D building. NOTE: If it
rains, orders will be taken in Room D224. Ticket price is $16.00.
Cash only and exact change is appreciated.
2. Prices are $75.00 for yearbooks until November, Thanksgiving
holiday and then will be set at $80.00. Financial Assistance is
available to those who qualify see Mr. Knight during 7th in H102 to
apply.
