WHY?
Contribute to the course of teen services at Berkeley Public Library,
suggest display ideas, program ideas, book & music titles for
purchase, review books, earn volunteer hours, and consume
REFRESHMENTS (AKA: snacks)!

YEAH, BUT WHAT IS TAG?
The Teen Advisory Group is made up of teens who contribute to
Berkeley Public Library's Teen Services by selecting and reviewing
books and providing programming for teens and feedback on Teen
Services. 

Who can join?
All high school students are invited. Participation earns you
volunteer hours and refreshments!

What are some of Teen Advisory's accomplishments?
Over the years Teen Advisory has reviewed billions of books, assisted
teen librarians with tons of tasks, helped shape the direction Teen
Services has taken, and set up a plethora of programs, including art
contests and Cover to Cover, the teen summer reading program. Look
for our new zine: TAGLINEZ!

Where and when does Teen Advisory meet?
Teen advisory meets every first Tuesday of the month at 4:30 PM in
the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of the Central Library.

Recently Teen Advisory has taken on a new dynamic, borrowing some of
the structure of parliamentary procedure. A chair is elected on a
3-month rotating basis.
