STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN

Administration
1. Late start Wednesday begins SEPTEMBER 20th. All students report
to school today at the normal time.
2. Auditions for the BHS Jazz Ensemble will take place this week.

Report to the A building in the band room starting at 3:20 pm.
3. If you signed up for the Jacket class, please come to the first
class off the year this Friday, September 1 in G105. See you there!
Clubs
1. PASSHEN (Peers Advocating Safety and Sexual Health education now!)
is recruiting new peer educators. Pick up your application in H105
(Health center) today. Deadline is Sept. 14th.
2. Pirates! Thursday at lunch in C217. See you there.
Sports
1. Calling all CHESS PLAYERS and "wanna be" chess players! The BHS
Chess club and team will meet every Thursday in C125 from 3;30 - 5:00
pm Starting this Thursday, September 7th. Last year our team had an
excellent performance in the National High School Competition.
2. All students interested in playing Berkeley High Baseball in the
spring should attend a meeting this Thursday, September 7th during
lunch in room A05 - the basement of the A building.
Senior / Junior Section
1. College visits to Berkeley High- Seniors: Sign up in D221 to
attend college presentations. You must also pick up an authorization
form for your teacher to sign so that you may miss his or her class.

SAT/ACT test dates - Tuesday, September 12 is the regular
registration deadline for the October 14 SAT and SAT subject tests.

regular registration ddeadline for the October 28ACT test. Register
at http://www.act.org
JESUIT COLLEGE FAIR- Thursday, September 14, 7:00 - 9:00 pm. St
Ignatius College Prep, 2001 - 37th Avenue, San Francisco.
Representatives from 17 Jesuit colleges will be present to talk with
you and provide information. These include: Fordham University,
Loyola Marymount, Loyola University Chicago, Santa Clara University,
Seattle University, and many more.
Scholarships: Sinkler Miller Medical Association Scholarship- open to
African American residents of the San Francisco Bay Area graduating
in 2007 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 with financial need. Scholarships
range from $1,000 to $5,000. Applications available in D221.
Deadline: September 15.
