The Berkeley High Student Court is looking for students who are interested
in being lawyers, interested in reducing suspensions on campus, or
interested in earning community college credit. It is a student-based
court (students are the jurors and students are the lawyers) that handles
real BHS discipline cases. The class trains students in the sociology of
education as well as trial procedures and oral presentation. It is held
Monday-Thursday during 7th period in H-112. If interested, please come to
H-112 during 7th period or email jrdaniels at berkeley.k12.ca.us. For those
students with 7th period lab, please come anyway and we will find a way
for you to get involved.
