The two announcements below, from the Berkeley Special Education
Parents Network (BSPED), highlight issues and talents of individuals
with disabilities in order to help promote understanding, diversity
and the arts in BUSD:
1) June 3-4 / SUPERFEST International Disability Film Festival at La
Pena, Berkeley
Public screenings of SUPERFEST International Disability films will
take place on June 3 and 4, time t.b.a., at La Pena Cultural Center,
3105 Shattuck Ave., in Berkeley, California. Tickets are $5-$20/day
sliding scale and will be sold at the door.
Festival information including full descriptions of the films,
filmmakers' names and contact information, screening schedule,
reception and awards event times and access information will be
posted on our website on Friday, April 7. If you have any questions,

2) April 12 - CSI:NY to star Actors with Disabilities from PASW -
10pm PDT
Performing Arts Studio West actors Patrick Cooper & Igor Zaninovich
will be guest starring on CSI:NY on Wednesday, April 12th at 10:00 pm
on CBS.
This episode entitled "Super Men" centers around a young man, Clark,
who was institutionalized as a child by his mother. He sees himself
as Superman and fights for justice in his world. Clark has also
dubbed his closest friends with the names of other super heroes.
Patrick Cooper portrays Aqua Man and Igor Zaninovich is Thor. More
