Do you know any Berkeley Unified students who are pregnant or
parenting?  The Vera Casey Collaborative works to support pregnant
and parenting teens to stay in school and graduate and to facilitate
self-sufficiency of the student parents and the well-being of the
family by providing and coordinating various support services, such
as:  

* academic support and planning for graduation and beyond,
* child care and child development services for their children, 
* connection to services supporting a healthy pregnancy, 
* healthy parenting skills, and familial well-being, and 
* linkages to appropriate physical and mental health providers

The program is voluntary and includes group facilitation and personal
response to students' needs.  The program is a collaboration between
Early Head Start, BUSD and the City of Berkeley Public Health
Department.
