Administration
1. The dates for the Honors Algebra 2 and Honors Math Analysis
tests are April 3rd and April 5th from 3:30 - 4:15PM in H306.
Please contact Mr. Weitz via email at <mweitz at berkeley.k12.ca.us> to
sign up for the test. Ask your current math teacher for more
information.
2. All students and parents interested in information regarding
summer opportunities through experiment in International Living are
invited to meet tonight, March 23rd at 7 PM in room C106. Come find
out how exciting summer can be.
3. Alright! Alright! The MORP Dance is on its way! March 31st
is the end of the marking period and what better way to celebrate
your grades then by coming to the MORP and getting your party on.
Tickets are only $5 and are on sale Wednesday and Friday at lunch in
the community theater box office.
4. JOBS: Recreation Activity Leader- Call the City of Berkeley
Parks and Recreation at 981-5150. $13.76 per hour to start. Deadline
to apply: April 21st. Other aquatic positions are available as well.
5. Berkeley Public Library's Teen Services invite teen readers
to come out and discuss the "Coldest Winter Ever" by Sister Souljah,
at the SOUTH BRANCH LIBRARY, 1901 Russell St. For information call
981-6106. Thursday, March 23rd 4:00 PM.
6. VOLUNTEER- Camp Galileo has opportunities for counselors in
training and summer interns at a camp for elementary school age
students. You can help campers with art, science and outdoor
activities or develop kids enjoyment of science and engineering. For

1. College Visits:
2. Admitted to San Diego State? Attend the Explore SDSU day on
Saturday, April 8 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You will get information
on financial aid, housing, academics, student life and more.

3. Two new scholarships for African-American females. The Olga
Jane Lewis Scholarship requires a 3.5 unweighted GPA. The Ida Louise
Jackson Scholarship requires a 3.0 GPA. Each one is for $1,000.
4. For seniors- Claude Clark Memorial scholarship Fund- This
scholarship is for African and African American seniors graduating
from Bay Area High Schools. Three $3,000 scholarships will be
awarded. Deadline: April 15.
Events/ Performance
1. Come to a theatrical performance of "Zorro Remixed,"
created, written and performed by students in the Arts and Humanities
Academy (AHA), under the direction of the Performance Lab at Berkeley
Rep School of Theater. The show is this Friday, March 24th at 8:00
pm. It's free and is being performed at the Berkeley Art Center in
Live Oak Park, 1275 Walnut St. 644-6893 for Art center information.
2. Attention Juniors! Junior Prom ticket sales at lunch in the
Allston Way Box office. Ticket sales are Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday of every week at lunch. Tickets will start at $60.00 each
and will go up $5 each week with a maximum ticket price of $75.00 per
ticket. Remember! Prom is April 29th.
3. Are you ready for prom Juniors and Seniors? If not, please
make sure you come out to the 3rd Annual Prom fair this Friday in the
Community Theater and the courtyard. Check out the latest tuxedos,
hairstyles, prom dresses, and sign up to run for Prom King and Queen.

4. Hey Berkeley High! Only one week left for the book drive. Hurry!
SALES
1. Hear ye! Hear ye! On Monday, March 27th bring all your
riches for a bake sale held by the Middle Earth Society. The elves
will bake plenty of Lembas of course, and if we're unlucky, the ores
might even bring some of their food. Monday at lunch at the brick
steps across from the c-building.
2. BART tickets for March are here. Please pick up your tickets
in room D224 at lunchtime only.
3. BART ticket orders will be taken March 30, and 31st at
lunchtime in room D224. Price per ticket is $16.00
4. Yearbooks are on sale in H102 everyday at lunch and after
school. They are $70 dollars.
