[BHS etree] Please post VOLUNTEERS: Chaperones needed for three upcoming BHS dances

Berkeley HIgh is sponsoring three dances in the coming months--The Senior
Ball, the Junior Prom, and a school-wide dance in the food court named the
MORP.  The primary purposes of these events is to give our dear students a
safe, secure, and monitored environment to enjoy themselves and celebrate a
good school year.  But, of course, to make this happen, the   office of
Student Activities needs the participation of parent chaperones. If you can
help at any of the events below, please contact Janet Huseby at
jhuseby at pacbell.net.  Keep in mind that if your students don't want you at
their special event (say, the Senior Ball), you can volunteer for another
(say, the MORP).  They are EVENTS, believe me!

1.  M.O.R.P.  Dance "City Nights" - March 31, 2006 - BHS Food Court - 6:00 -
10:00pm  - All grades can participate, cost is 5.00 - only BHS Students can
attend.  Anticipated Participation 100-200 students.  Need 5- 10 parents.
(Only BHS students)

2. Jr. Prom - "Arabian Nights"  - April 29, 2006 - Spotlight on the Square
(Alameda) - 7:00pm - 12:00am cost is currently $60.00 and will increase by
5.00 weekly.  Anticpated Participation - 400-500 students.  Need 10 - 15
parents - various duties available.  (BHS & Guest)

3. Sr. Ball - "Old Hollywood" - June 3, 2006 - Hotel Nikko (S.F.) 7:30 -
12:30am ticket prices will begin at 55.00 on Friday March 24th (Early Bird/
Limited Amount) and will increase to $60.00 during the 1st week of sales.
Anticipated Participation - 700-800 students. Need 20 - 25 parents  (BHS &
Guest) Additional information to come.

 Training sessions will be provided.
