1. Information Night for Incoming 9th graders, Wednesday, March 1, 7
to 9 p.m. 

All members of the class of 2010--both coming from a BUSD feeder
school (King, Longfellow and Willard) AND coming from an independent
school--should plan on attending Information Night on Wednesday,
March 1 from 7- 9 p.m. in the Community Theater. This is an
important, not to be missed, opportunity to hear from administrators,
counselors, department heads, teachers, and students about small
schools, small learning communities, academic and elective
departments, activities, clubs and athletics. Please arrive early in
order to secure parking. The presentation will begin promptly at 7
p.m. in the Community Theater.
 
Several points of potential confusion. 

a)  Some families attended a Private School Information Night at BHS
in November.  The information at the two meetings (November, March)
is very different. One is a brief introduction to the school and the
second, this coming Wednesday, is more specific and aimed at helping
parents select from among the many options at BHS. 
 
b) A letter was mailed home to Longfellow, King and Willard 8th grade
families inviting them to the Information Night on March 9.  That
date was incorrect.  The correct date is March 1.
 
2. On March 16 families of CURRENT 9th-11th grade are invited to an
Information Night in the Community Theater at 7 pm.  Please mark this
date on your calendar and watch for more specific information.
