Administration
1. Exit Exams-We will administer the California Exit Exam
(CAHSEE) on Tuesday, February 7th (English) and Wednesday, February
8th (Math) to all tenth graders. They must take this two-day test in
order to graduate from high school in California. Students must
arrive at the Old Gym on Milvia
Street at 7:30 AM each day. They should bring Number 2 pencils, a
photo ID and a book to read if they finish one of the sections early.
Calculators and scratch paper are not allowed. This is an un-timed
test;
it usually takes only 2 to 3 hours, but students have the regular
school day to take it. When they finish the test they will go to
their class already in progress. Contact Amy Frey if you have
questions.
2. Well, our Berkeley High Jazz Teams have done it again! The
BHS Jazz Ensemble combos and Jazz Lab Band 2A all rose to a
victorious occasion at the Folsom 17th Annual Jazz Festival on
January 28th. They excelled with the Jazz Lab Band 2A receiving 2nd
Place in the single division, Combos winning 1st and 3rd places in
their division along with a host of individual awards. Our BHS Jazz
Ensemble won overall sweepstakes in the AAAA Division, their delivery
was so outstanding.
