BHS Students and Parents,  
 
Do you want to read some great short stories?   The students enrolled
in Mr. Bye's sections of Reading and Writing the  Short Story have
released their enthralling tales into  cyberspace.  What do you have
to look forward to during the spring  semester?  Upcoming mystery
stories, humorous pieces, and children's  literature.  

Motivated juniors:  consider signing up for  Reading and Writing the
Short Story as your senior English  course next year.  You will get
Academic Choice credit for this year-long  University of California
P-b credit-approved English Department course.   Taking this class in
no way decreases your chances of being accepted to an  excellent
college.  Some current students have been accepted  early to Yale,
Columbia, Pomona and other top-ranked institutions.
