STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN

Administration
1.	Hey, do you ever listen to the bulletin and think,  “I could do way 
better than those losers”?  Well, now’s your chance.  Libby’s moving 
and we’re holding auditions for her replacement. in C207 on Wednesday, 
December 14th at lunch.

2.	Attention: The Library will be open ONLY before and after school and 
during lunch time on Wednesday, December 14th.  Teachers please do not 
send students on passes during class time thank you.

3.	The School Site Council will meet on Tuesday, December 13th from 
4:30-6:00 pm.  On the agenda are an update on the progress of the 
Berkeley International High School Design Team and a look at data on AP 
tests and the Exit Exam.  Location to be announced.

4.	Attention Leadership officers: Please attend the general meeting on 
Tuesday, December 13th, 7th period in A105.  We will be taking yearbook 
pictures and reviewing the Holiday Meal.

5.	If you need a duplicate ID picture or an ID picture, you need to go 
to D173 and sign up to take your ID picture.  ID pictures will be taken 
on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting next week 12/13, during lunch and 
after school.  YOU MUST SIGN UP FIRST IN ORDER TO GET YOUR ID PICTURE 
TAKEN. Any questions please see Ms. Cooks in D173.

Clubs
1.  Health Fact of the Week:  Every single injury and death caused by 
drunk driving is totally preventable.  In other words, we have the 
choice
to avoid drunk driving related incidents.  Have a designated.  Call 
family or friends to pick you up.  Call a taxi cab, walk or use public 
transportation.  Stay longer at the party and sober up before driving 
home.  Whatever you do, don’t act the fool.  Don’t drink and drive.

Sports
None

Senior / Junior Section

1.	For Sophomores and Juniors: Tuesday, December 13 at lunchtime- 
presentation on United World Colleges.  This is a great opportunity for 
students who are interested in living and studying abroad during high 
school, regardless of ability to pay.  There are ten United World 
Colleges in the UK, Singapore, Canada, Switzerland, the USA, Italy, 
Venezuela, Hong Kong, Norway, and India.  Each College has its own 
distinctive character but all share a common mission.  Students from 
all over the world gather to study and participate in community

informative presentation.

Events/ Performance

1.	African-American Studies  Department:  Afro-Haitian Dance Program on 
December 15, 2005, Berkeley High Community Theater, Allston Way at 7:00 
pm.  Tickets: Reserved $10.00, General $7.00, Students $5.00, Children/ 
seniors $3.00.  All proceeds benefit the African American Studies 
Department.  For questions and information please call (510) 644-6759.

2.	Everyone is invited to enjoy the holiday sounds of the Berkeley High 
Jazz Lab Band I and II under the direction of Charles Hamilton on 
Friday, December 16th, 7:30 pm at the Florence Schwimley Little Theatre 
(entrance on Allston Way).  Doors open at 7:00 p.m.  Delicious food and 
refreshments will be available.  Donation is $10.00 for adults, free 
for students and BHS staff.  Come support and enjoy the Berkeley High 
Jazz program!

SALES

1.	Winter Ball tickets are sale  at the Allston Way box office after 
school all week.  Tickets are $50.00.  Students must have ID and a 
students activities contract on file.

2.	December BART tickets are in.  Please pick your tickets by 12/15/05.

3.	Yearbooks are on sale in H102 everyday at lunch and after school.  
They are $65 dollars until December 16, 2005.  Make checks payable to 
BHS yearbooks.
