FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION NIGHTS FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS OF SENIORS
THURSDAY, November 10, 6:30 p.m. in the Berkeley High School library

This is the first of a two-part financial aid information series -
Planning Ahead for College Expenses.  Sue Kim, financial aid
consultant, will discuss how the financial aid process works, what
elements go into calculating the Expected Family Contribution, merit
scholarships and how to find schools that offer the most aid.  

Part two will be held on Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the BHS
library.  Representatives from the UC Berkeley Financial Aid Office
will walk us through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid,
line by line. This document is required by all colleges as part of
the financial aid process.  Ilene Abrams, BHS College Advisor, will
discuss the CSS Profile and other financial aid documents required by
private colleges.
