Next week, the Advanced Placement tests will begin. Collectively our
students will be taking close to a 1,000 exams in 28 different subjects.
This is more than 150 tests over last year. The exams are generated and
graded by the College Board (the same private organization which offers the
SAT.) Berkeley High receives a small percentage of the fees to supervise and
administer the exams but must rely on volunteers to help proctor, pass out
and collect materials, and monitor those who need extended time. If your
child is taking one or more AP exams, please volunteer to proctor one other.
The College Board suggests one proctor for up to 35 students in a room. Two
for up to 50 students. Three for up to 100 students. Four for up to 150
students and five for up to 200 students. In addition, we need one extra
where there are students needing extended time.

Volunteers must be able to stay the entire length of the exam and may not
assist at tests a close relative is taking. Morning tests begin at
approximately 7:30 a.m.; afternoon tests begin at approximately 12:40 p.m.
On campus Parking Passes will be available for proctors.

Below are the exams which need proctor help. The asterisk indicates one or
more students who have qualified for extended time. Please look the list
