There are three parking lots on the Berkeley High campus: one between the
old gym and the football field with entrance on Milvia and two former tennis
courts, also on Milvia. These parking lots are reserved for staff and
teachers during the school day AND During Back to School Night and Open
House. On weekend nights members of the BHS Athletic Association collect
parking fees from the public at the tennis courts as a fundraiser.
In the afternoons, when attending athletic events, it is possible to park in
any of the lots. On most school nights the courts are open and free (except
when there is a special event at Cal or the Community Theater and then the
Atletic Fund is collecting money).
Parents, for instance, coming to the April 20 evening meeting--unless there
is a big community event-- may park on the tennis courts. However, to be
forewarned, they are not patrolled. You park at your own risk.
