[BHS etree] ETREE: Registration for new students NOT coming from BUSD middle schools

Below are two notices for families of students who are coming into BHS from
non BUSD schools.

1. New families of Incoming 10-12 graders (NOT currently enrolled BHS
students).
Counselors will be meeting with incoming 10-12 graders next week (April
11-15) from 3:30 t 4 p.m. in the Berkeley High Library to register for
courses and the small school lottery. Students MUST have completed
registration with the BUSD and BHS before meeting with their counselor. If
you have not already done so, please contact Belinda McDaniel at 644-4800 to
let her know if you are coming.

2. New Families of Incoming 9th graders from Independent Schools. Curriculum
Night and course selection for current 8th graders coming to BHS from
private schools (NOT Willard, Longfellow, or King) will take place on April
20 in the BHS Student Union Rotunda, April 20, 6:45-9 p.m. To confirm a
place, please call 9th grade counselor Susan Werd at 883-5217 to let her
know you are coming.

This evening presentation will focus on the 9th grade program, math and
science progressions, academic and behavioral expectations, BHS graduation
and College Eligibility Requirements.  Students will complete course &
school selection forms. Families that come to this meeting need to have
completed enrollment in the BUSD and at BHS.
