A JAZZ GALA & FUNDRAISER AT THE BERKELEY REP! The powerhouse BHS Jazz
Ensemble, Lab Band and award-winning small combos perform at the Berkeley
Repertory Theater on Sunday, March 13th from 11:30 a.m.-3   p.m. in a much
needed benefit for the BHS music program to support a DOUBLING in the number
of students in the jazz program this year!

Attendees at the Gala will sip wine, feast on a lunch prepared by Poulet and
have the opportunity to bid on special silent auction items, including the
small sampling described below:

Featured items include: ~ Be chef for a day with Alice Waters (includes
dinner for two) ~ 5 nights in a fully appointed townhome in Snowmass,
Colorado ~ A complete DIRECTV System including satellite dish and a year’s
worth of programming ~ A Cheeseboard Collective private Cheese/Wine Tasting
with live jazz ~ a David Goines Fine Arts poster, signed by the artist ~ A

In this time of budget cuts, the Jazz Program depends on BHS families and
our community supporters! Money raised is used to bring in professional
mentors for both the Ensemble and Lab Band, to provide scholarship
assistance for private lessons and to defray the cost of instrument rental
and repair.
