The Berkeley High School Parent Resource Center Presents: "The House We Live
In," Saturday, October 16.  in the Berkeley High College/Career Center, 2nd
floor adminstration building, 1980 alsont Way--corner of Alston Way and
Milvia Street from 10 a.m. to noon.

"The House We Live In" Race The Power Of An Illusion is a documentary
challenging one of our most fundamental beliefs: that human beings come
divided into a few distinct groups.  The House We Live In is an eye-opening
tale of how what we assume to be normal, commonsense, even scientific, is
actually shaped by our history, social institutions and cultural beliefs.
Dr. Barrie Throne, PhD Sociology and Women's Studies Department at UBC will
facilitate a discussion following the film.
